Wickr is a messenger service similar to the popular Kik. The app uses end-to-end encryption on all messages and files, including pictures and videos. This ensures that third parties are unable to access the data as it transfers from one device to another.
Likewise, much like popular photo-sharing app Snapchat, Wickr also allows users to set messages to “auto-destruct”. Wickr offers more choice though when it covers to ‘shredding’ your posts. The default setting allows posts to be visible for 6 days before they disappear for good.
This default setting can be reduced to 5 days, 4 days, 3 days through to 1 day & even 12 & 6 hours. If that isn’t good enough for you, posts can be ‘shredded’ as mentioned earlier, just like Snapchat, instantly, just as soon as they have been viewed.
